In a "slim pickins" rut...clads, vintage silver-plate spoon and not much else

Hi :hello2:

Heavy rains opened up the sand for clads today ...and maybe an old buckle ( not sure , but perhaps someone can help with ID.)

Tide was very high up on the beach....waves were strong. :help:

The silver -plated spoon was found during a hunt 2 days ago. From my research , I concluded that the initials are that of William Ryland, Birmingham , England...circa middle to late 1800's.

Here's some pics...apologies that I have nothing exciting to post today, but I'm out there trying :laughing7:

Lorraine

I to did 5 hours on the beach today and walked away with $.92 in clad, 3 sinkers, 1 knife, 2 hooks and a ton of bottle caps and pull tabs. Still a great day on the beach though.

Lorrain I'm becoming quite fond of finding spoons from early British silver factories - I have a couple similar to this one ... time and tide get tough sometimes so well done :hello2: Hope Romeo is still ruling the roost, my wife says he's a hunk.

Smoogle, I added a post of my latest research on the spoon; I love finding old spoons and other antiques.

Please tell your wife I say "thank you" to her for her assessment of "Romeo".
