Is it worth spendin the extra for the 350 over the 250? It seems to me that the search coil is the biggest difference. I know some will say just save up for the at pro or somethin else but I'm pretty set on just getting a 250 or 350. It would be my first detector. I'm gonna pull the trigger, but can't figure out if the 350 is that much better.

Thanks

A 250 with a 5x8 DD coil would make a decent starter in my opinion.. 350 has a higher frequency and a couple more iron discrimination bars.Outside of the DD coil its not the greatest leap from 250 to 350. No offence to 350s.

The coil really makes the biggest difference, and worth it. But if you get a DD coil for the 250, then that would be just as good. I wasn't a fan of how the dime and quarter signals are stacked on the 350. Resulted in me digging more cans hoping for the quarter signal.

My dad upgraded from the 250 to 350 and says it's worth the upgrade, even for a starter. But not crucial.

Thanks for the replies, keep em coming.

I stepped up from a 250 to the 350, but I just didn't "click" with it. Went back to the 250 and added the 5x8 DD, and the 8.5x11 DD. I like this set- up waaaaaay better.

Bought the 350, we'll see how it goes.

The 350, by all means. I had my 250 for a few years and just upgraded to
the 350. BIG difference. The DD coil is wonderful.

Yes, right choose. I am used Ace 150, than changed standart coil to DD from ace 350 and very glad.
