In Situ Arrowhead

I'm like Adena Hunter. When I see something that looks like an an artifact I don't get my camera, I pick it up - especially something that looks like an arrowhead. I fought the impulse this time:

Nope. Looked like an arrowhead, but not even close when it came completely out of the ground.

It's hard not to pick them up right away... took some practice before I was able to leave them in situ and call my hunting buddy over to have a look at it before coming from the ground..now he does the same thing so we both get to see the before and after. Looks like a nice little point there by the way!

Hey Billco, it took me a while to start taking insitus to. But now I couldn't even imagine NOT taking one. I've actually started a seperate log book using a photo album. In it I'll put the insitu a first in hand shot, plus the number, type, material, where I found it, and the date. It's fun to sit down every once in a while and look through it. Thanks for the look, I love insitus. Razor
