Was there a match on today wonder what the score was

Still scratching around for land...

Spent just about an hour on the edge of a Bean Field where it had not grown very well. I had just given up with only a brass ring to my name & was weaving my way back to Dad when out popped a 9th Century Saxon Strapend
We gridded as much as that area as possible but it was a freak find.

Yeah, that terrible road everyone hates. The clay had worn the tyre on the middle of the inner edge. Amazing what mud can do, & people don't believe me when I say it's hard to dig after hot weather & wonder why I like the rain.

Thanks, I have little to work on at the moment. Its a new field (massive) which we know has a Roman site in the middle, but have yet to hunt it. We were just hoping for a couple of scrappies, this was a random surprise. Don't think its a site at this end of the field as its bog like.
