Went out looking this afternoon ,at about 1:30, for a spot to detect. After a 1/2 hour of driving through a neighborhood
I found me a spot. 5 houses to be torn down. Old ones too. I picked the oldest looking one and found very little in coins.
Went over to the next one . Skunked on that one. Third house a couple coins.
The fourth house, the one with the tallest grass and the hardest to swing the coil, Paid off.
I was soaking wet from the rain and muddy too. I could hardly swing the coil when I got a signal at 7 1/2 " deep.
Out popped the BARBER covered completely in mud I wiped a little of the date and from there on it was all smiles.
5 minutes later the Merc come to light. I must say that after cleaning it with water and a toothbrush She shines like she
was just minted..The detail and luster on her are beautiful. Smiling a little bigger now.

I came home soaked and the plastic on the detector helped...

This was my fourth Barber Coin for the year and The Merc makes it my 106th Silver Coin for the year..
Don't know how much more hunting is left cause it's getting colder...

Congratulations great silver. LoL when Daytondigger returns he has a tail or our storm hunting mud excapades. Nutty yes, but sometimes it does pay off well. Glad it did for you.
