I am posting this for a friend, he has found some Indian bone carvings. From what we have found so far it was part of a tribes chiefs neckless, it is of a wolf carving on bone and was found near Lake Hartwell while hunting Arrowheads and such. The pictures I have arent the best at this time, I am going to get better ones hopefully this week and repost. Artifact1.jpg

Looks like it might be something worth looking at. Please post a better picture when you can. Maybe with different sides showing?

I believe you have gotten your camera too close to the object. Try taking it further back and use the marco setting and take the pics outside in natural light. Welcome to the site, rock

Yeah, better pics. It appears to be carved even in the bad pic. What makes you believe this to be part of a 'tribes chiefs neckless' (sic) though?

Cause we've seen it and we have mental pictures in our minds boom!!!! That's one of the secrets and abilities that the newbies have to learn. The more we see, the more banks of pics in the mind we have to compare. Even comparing textures, colors, light reflections........ Hands and Knees!!!

Those little rodents can work their way all the way around a piece.

Don't you just love it when someone comes on and posts something like this and then just disappears? I know he's a newbie, but come on, check your post for replies and give us better pics.
