I was kneeling and digging a hole when a big
black lab sneaks up on me from
behind and licked my face than took off.
Than I felt something crawling up my pant leg
and looked down and didn't see anything.
Than I felt it again moving up my leg so I took off the headset
and stood up and that's when I got stung.
I unbuckled, unzip and unsnapped my pants in about 2 seconds
flat and watched it fly away.
I was in a city park and lucky no one was around.
I did find 1 Indian Head Cent 1901.

Well....I just got back from a nearby school and didn't stay there too long as I was getting sniffed and licked by about three different dogs, and followed by several little kids. I don't have a problem with either of these particular species of fauna, but considering my digging tool is a rather sharp digging knife, I didn't feel too comfortable being around either of em.
No bee stings, but no indian heads either...maybe that bee was lucky
Thanks Cowboykolo. Mike and I were in the park last year and 6 kids around 5 years were watching us dig. I would say look mikes diggen a coin and they would run over there to watch. I wish I had brought the cameria.

RD,
It could have been worse. You could have had the bee lick your face and the black lab crawl up your pants. :tongue3: ;D
Great title & post.

For the record, that bee is dead now. :P Gotta wonder about evolution giving them a weapon that kills em.......

That was a well deserved injun! I have had the black lab thing happen here before........bad part about it is that here we have tons of black bears and it kinda scares the bajeebers outa ya when it happens and can end a day of hunting unless a fresh pair of BVD.s are handy!

You beat me to it Doug...I was going to write the same thing. Kind of funny story. Except the bee sting. At least you are not allergic to bee stings. Half my family is. My brother once got stung by a bumble bee and he got hives so bad that his face swelled to extreme size. You couldn't even see his nose or eyes. He now has to carry a shot kit with him wherever he goes.

Apparently NOT yer typical happy dance. I just bought a new Epi-Pen shot kit, 72.00 at Sam's Club pharmacy. Alot cheaper than suffocating to death. I am anaphalaxic to wasp stings and maybe to bees also, spiders for sure, but one shot and a trip to the E.R. will save my life. I try to hunt near to, or with someone who has a cell phone to dial 911, if I have to shoot myself up. Nice injun, nicer doggie, and sorry bout da sting.......NGE

Thanks colonial copper Zeus. I have a friend that is allergic also. He got stung on the forhead and it was the size of a silver dollar. I took him to the hospital. The next day his whole face was so swelled up you couldn't recognize him.

First a dog fright, then a bee sting, what a day you've had
Just simply remember that Indian cent
And then you won't feel...so bad.

Got a kick out of your story, hope the next hunt isn't as painful!

It was a set up. A sting operation. The dog and bee are working as a team. :o
