Recently I bought a lot of 4 indian head pennies. All 4 of the coins were dated 1878 and bought them on ebay for a whopping 13.05$. I decided to upgrade my indian head penny book and the 1878 I had was in very poor condition. I'm keeping the best one of the 4, other 3 are going up for sale. Overall not a bad deal considering I got 4 for the price of one. The one pictured in my book is worth well more than 13$ alone. Thought I'd share my score since CRH has come to a halt (for now). Happy hunting and have a good day. Zach

I've had some O.K. luck with facebook auctions myself lately. I managed to pick up two barber halves (1901 O in AG3-G04 and a 1897 in about AG) for only $13.50 w/ free shipping. That's 6.75 apiece, which is a quarter less than what my dealer sells them for, haha. Either way they are years I don't have. I could probably flip the 1901 O on eBay and get $10-11 out of it alone.

Another one was a mistake on the sellers part, but a decent mistake though. I ended up winning an auction on what I thought was going to be a 1900 O barber dime. A lot of confusion happened, and I received in the mail a holed 1858 Seated Half Dime in about F12 to F15. I only paid $4 for it so I didn't do too bad, and I called the guy and told him I got the wrong coin and he was apologizing and said that I could return it and all that. I kept asking him if he had a 1900 O and why he posted the images up of it on Facebook if he was actually auctioning off a 1900 P barber dime, and yeah a lot of confusion idk. In the end, I kept the 1858, and the thing I'm glad about is that the hole isn't RIGHT by the date, because usually once you have a holed coin that has the hole on the date it basically has little to no numis. value.. It's actually in the upper left hand corner, so that wasn't too bad. Probably could get at least $10 out of it alone, but I'll probably hang onto it for a while. It's bent too, but you could probably carefully put it in between some soft pieces of wood (with cotton padding keeping the coin unharmed and shape it back by slightly tapping the wood with a mallet. I probably won't do that, but maybe I will.

Lastly I got a 2011 1 OZ buffalo in the mail coming that I paid $18.00 for including 3.50 shipping. I'm not too too happy about the purchase, but hey, silver is silver. My dealer is all out of 1oz bars and rounds and coins etc, so I figured I'd pick it up for the heck of it.

Nice score, never though to buy coins on Facebook. I posted a barber half dollar purchase from ebay a while back. Got 21 barber halves, most with full rims for 175$. Out of the 21 coins was a 1915 P key date worth around 100$. Best ebay purchase ever. Hope to hear from you again and happy searching.
