Indian Paint Pot ?

appears to me Yellow Clay or Sandstone.
Orange/red Color transfers to finger if rubbed

Looks like one to me, but it would depend on the context in which you found it.

Well when I first found it I was able to get my finger a little red
when I would rub the inside.
I can't now but it may be the Lighting.
A paper Towel gets redish.

it was found by me many years ago
on a 7th Grade Field Trip in the mountains of
Wiconisco supposedly indian for wet & Muddy Camp
and yes Definately Indian territory.

That would depend on whether it was found on or near an old occupation or special function site. In other words, do you know of other artifacts being found in the immediate vicinity?
