Indiana Resident Shoots and Kills 1 of 2 Armed Robbers During Home Invasion

Here we have another example of a home invasion with multiple suspects. It seems that more and more, these types of violent crimes are being committed by groups of people, not a single individual. You can browse our database of self defense stories to clearly see that.
In this case, 2 individuals invaded a Fort Wayne, IN apartment in an apparent robbery attempt.
During the incident, the suspects were confronted by an armed, male resident of the home. During the confrontation, one of the suspects was shot and killed.
The resident suffered serious injuries and is being treated at an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
A female resident and child were also present in the apartment during the incident. Fortunately neither the woman nor the child were harmed.
Police are still searching for the second suspect.
The identity of the deceased suspect has not yet been released and is pending notification of his family.
