Indian's... two types.

I had an hour before family arrived to squeeze in a quick hunt at one of my go-to spots. I worked slow through a very iron infested area I've been over before and managed to pull out an Indian and a buffalo.

The Indian appears to be a 1886 Var. 2 and in pretty nice shape.
The buffalo is an 1918.. But no mint mark!

Best part about this time of year is its nice enough for me to take my '66 Bronco out to my hunts.

Nice haul. And sweet hauler! I'd want to keep it out of the winter salt for sure (except for special occasions of course, and lots of wash down after).

Thanks guys! I try not to even take it out in the rain... Built up an new long block a couple winters ago in my garage and did a front power disk break conversion, power steering conversion and magnaflow exhaust. It runs and drives like a new, 49 year old car. I have hard top and soft top, but I never put them on... Just sits in the garage in the winter on a battery tender... So no salt on that thing. Ha

Those are some sharp looking coins ! (getting a date on an early Buffalo nickel is an accomplishment !)

Thank you! Easily my best condition buffalo. I don't dig many of them... Probably dug more V nickels than buffalos. There's something about the dirt at this house... All the Indians come out in great condition and nickels aren't pitted or anything.
