Research and experienced metal detectors advice has helped me finally achieve the level of finds I've had lately, and it feels awesome. I chose to hit an old pre 1900's homestead on a small corner lot(approx 1/2 acre) right next to the old small mill church, took about 6 hours to hit every square inch of this yard with a nice wide slow swing w my ace 350 in coin mode. Final count for today is: 29 Wheaties, 2 mercs(1919&1944), 2 1943 war nickels, 1905 V Nickel, 1800's brass pocket knife(found at 10 inches), Vintage silver ring, 16th anniversary presidential token, silver plated makup case(found at 11 inches) $2.00 clad coins, and some brass and copper relics. Great day!!

Keep your permission open, and return soon after a heavy rain, you will find an equal number of goodies....if not more. Congrats on your finds!!!!!

Nice hunt with both quality and quantity, I hope you can get back there soon, I have a feeling that there is more stuff waiting to be dug up.
