This is a piece of cast iron I found. Looks like it was broken off with force. It looks like it has moon designs and says patent on the top. There’s something else in writing before patent but too rusty to read. On the back it looks like it had red paint. Not far from where I found it I found an old butterfly hinge. The area I found use to be farmland. If anyone has a guess on what it may be please comment.
