Need a size reference and a clearer picture if possible.
Doesn't look like an arrowhead.

It actually looks like a "kettle point". These were made by native Americans from iron kettle remnants they obtained . One metal detectors from the North East is Stef Tanquay aka "Stef digs". Great info in her videos, and she gives great info on her finds, including kettle points!

I have seen some of the iron points. From my reference point, all the ones I have seen from the East Coast are stemmed. The brass ones were rectangles. It's hard to tell from your picture what it is.

In what context was this item found?

A kettle point could be made of hammered copper cut from a copper kettle while an iron point could be made from the band removed from a wagon wheel or other sources of metal.

Not sure on how thick it is, but it now sure looks like a piece of a cast iron.
As in a Pot/cooking vessel that we all dig up from time to time just because they sound off really great.
Not a "Kettle point"

Here is one made from a band of steel.
Found it along the shores of an interior lake in BC.
It was over 50yrs ago but I was told possibly a barrel or a wagon wheel.

My guess is that it's not, but most of my experience is European, so could be wrong.
