My Wife and I hunted together today on a huge permission I have. We concentrated around what we believe may have been a black smith shop. Anyway here are the photos. I will be posting a couple of these photos to the "What is this" post. The Spikes and the square items with the hole and slots. Take a look.

Nice job on the iron... Have to clean that iron out to uncover the goodies.

Tell that. But I have searched 3 areas of this place and not one coin of any age found. No rings or jewelry. Not even Glass. Just weird, strange.

I hit an area that I too thought was once a blacksmith shop. Lots of horse hardware and iron. I enjoyed digging out the glass bottles too.
After 4 or 5 trips of digging Iron, some silver started to pop up. It does happen.
Congrats on your hunt with the bride.

That is encouraging, Thanks. Somewhere on the property there was a store once. No one knows its location but so far we think we have found the black smith, 2 homes and a Church or meeting place. Lots of the land has been plowed under or has grown up since the settlement was deserted. Barns and other building foundations are scattered through-out the area. Coins should exists somewhere.

congrats on the finds. Alot of iron will blind some machines and that makes finding coins even harder in it.
