I have boulder opels but it doesn't look boulder . There are so many different opals but I've never seen one like that. but I wouldn't rule it out either..

I've handled alot of jewelry stones but I can't tell for shure either. Dragon skin ammolite or opalized wood? My geuss

Some kind of ammolite anyways maybe, not the Dragon skin type. Also fire agate can display all those colors. But can't say for shure.

No doubt it's something good, but my first thought was that it was a worn brake shoe that some kid took a box of crayons to...and they had the big, 64 crayon box.

It’s andamooka matrix opal, it’s like a concrete that’s opalized, they cut it up and throw it in a bath of acid and sugar to darken the matrix so the opal shows up better.
Thanks for enlightening us. Andamooka matrix opal is sure what others like it look like.

Looks like you ID the stone.
It also made me look it up and I saw this example, and the description that said sugar.
I never knew that about treating an opal.
