So I went out on my own Sunday...

My MD bud (Outraged) was busy (Father's Day).

Dug quite a few holes at what used to be a small local town's high school.

All I could muster was lots of clad and one 1955 Wheatie...

Later that day I hit up a town park and pulled even more clad... so I headed home...

So I get a call from Outraged this morning, he wanted to do some swingin' today!

I met him after work and we headed to a site he had gained permission to MD (he can give you the history of the site ;) ).

Here's some of what I dug!

Some kinda disk???

Not sure what to call this...

The suspender thingy looks like one of a pair of dungaree loops which hook over the buttons.

Tried drawing it:

Sweet. Very sweet. Congrats. Is the disc possibly a piece of a watch?

The back of the disc has this engraved...

US Patent Jan. 25 1875
Nov. 30 1875
Dec. 5 1876
6161

Here's a crappy scan of the disc's reverse...

Definitely too big to be a watch, maybe a wall clock that Flava Flav's ancestor wore around his neck ;D
