I'm considering upgrading my 2000 model Explorer XS to a newer SE model.

Is there a handbook or book that helps the learning curve and changes of
this detector?

What tricks or programing steps would you say works best on the SE ?

I'm new to this forum, but have had 3 stories published in Lost Treasure magazine. Thank you for your help, Bill

Re: Is there a book for learning shortcuts and operating procedure for Explorer

Bill,

I just recently purchased the SE. I was in the same boat as you so to speak. The only book I have heard of was one by Andy Sabisch, but I think this one was for the XS or II. If you already had an older Explorer model I don't think you will have any trouble with the new SE, especially if you have had three stories published :o Wow very impressive. The metal detecting forums have helped me a lot with learning the SE, that and going out and experimenting with it. I started out in the factory pre-set mode and slowly tweaked the machine to match my type of hunting. I am still experimenting.

Good Luck and HH
