is this a Revolutionary War Musket ball??

On April 27th 2011 me and my brother were metal detecting In Belleville nj Park, where Mill St intersects with Park Drive, the Battle of Second River, September 1777. The Battle occurred on September 27 near the junction of Second River and the Passaic River. This is now the Belleville - Newark Border.

stuck a magnet to it, and the magnet is sticking..

Archaeologists have discovered authentic Revolutionary War musket balls that were severely misshapen, some showing human teeth marks. A gray-colored ball with a blistery surface may by authentic. It means it was molded in the colonies from a pewter mix when lead was in short supply.

What you guys think? Is it real? ???

Doesn't look like any musket ball I've found...and it should not be magnetic.

Unfortunately I don't think a magnet would stick to lead our pewter. And when you get a musket bll you will know it, it will be a big ol heavy soft round thing, white to brownish white and the patina can almost rub off with your fingers. Keep at it! You will find plenty! But, be weary of protected historic sites. If you are searching somewhere archeologists have dug in the past its probably not legal.
