prob a marble...depends on where youre at on what kind..could be stoneware or clay or minereral the pic is kinda hard to tell...vinegar reacts to limestone...

we are from the upper pen. of michigan near the bay. i will have to try the vinegar n see n ill try to get a better pic of it. thanks for the reply.

Hold it up to a strong light source..

I mean a REALLY strong light source. Subject it to a UV light source. It could be a glass marble that was exposed to wind borne sand blasting.
