Its definitely not an artifact and would be better posted in the fossil forum. It looks like a piece of broken bone or turtle shell.

I like that one. You can tell it is water worn. Maybe a knife or preform. The last one.

do you think it would be hand held because of the increase in thikness and presence of host stone on one side. can there be hand held knifes, or would they just be classified as scrapers??? here is a another pic that shows it better 062.jpg

thats some of the right stuff! focus on the area you found that for sure. the first one may just be a good size flake though it may have seen some use for sure..if it was found in the same area as the second one. that piece shows definate edgework. scraper/flesher nice find.

i found this within 20ft of the scraper a couple weeks ago and just set it aside but they look almost identical as far as where the host stone is at in 2 places, what do yall think? 021.jpg 022.jpg 024.jpg

thats a pretty nice quartz scraper. Its a little tuff to see flaking on quartz...but see how its bifacial.. I mean that it has a central high point on both sides with a taper to the edge. that is hardly ever a natural way for a stone to break. you also have now found other artifacts in the same area so its even more likely. nice color of quartz too.

Sorry man, I see a rock; defiantly not a fossil.

On the other hand, looks like you have some nice scrapes and peforms. Won't be long before you find a great point from that site. :occasion14:
