yep 5 cents a pound for scrap metal

The non-ferrous cover is cracking!
The rest of it looks to be a little knackered.
Value?
Whatever someone will pay you.
Cheers,
Dave.

padlock - nope not worth anything unless you like it

neat relic!Put it in a small display case with a few more relics, could possibly squeeze something out of it if your after the happy buck."Happy buck"I have been watching to much Bob Ross.

Cool old lock plate. Steam punk artists might like it if you wanted to get rid of it but its old enough to display too.

Have found quite a few of them, I personally think they are pretty cool. But I am not sure how much you could get someone to pay for it.

Most of this hobby doesn't pay anything but satisfaction, the thrill of the hunt. The savage guy is full of baloney, you will not usually get 400$ for a chunk of iron.

If it got your heart rate and curiosity up this is a good hobby for you, if you look at every item with a dollar sign in your eyes you may go bankrupt, unless you can spin a good yarn.

As a side note, it is valuable enough to know you are in a good area to hunt! But,, isn't the whole continent there a good area to hunt?
