What kind of bullet is this. Found on elementary playground

I don't think real old, as in CW period or anything because of the ridges in the groove.

I could be wrong but it appears to be a .22 or maybe .25 caliber post-civil war bullet judging the the reeded grove in the middle (sometimes called a cannelure). These didnt come about until late 1870s early 1880s. They still use the cannelure tech today on modern copper jacketed bullets but yours is older.

it does have a nice patina, so it's been buried for some time. my guess is that probably dates to the 1920's or 30's
