I would think a meteorite that size, at the speed it would have been traveling, would be buried...not sitting in the floor.

My opinion: terrestrial rock. A recent meteorite fall would likely have rounded areas on the surface, as well as regmaglymphs. A stone this size, if a meteorite, would have likely destroyed not just the house but also the neighborhood, and quite possibly an area for several hundred feet around.
