It’s been a long time since I’ve been detecting unfortunately. Life and grandkids got in the way. I used to be a regular here on TN.
I’m still using the Tesoro Vaquero.
I’m up in northern Indiana and decided to detect instead of fish this time.
Hit an early 1900’s farmhouse today and an 1840’s house yesterday. Lots of trash at both spots, but I came away with a few keepers. A 1947 dime, a 1943 standing liberty half, and a cool old 1960’s bowling belt buckle.
It was great to get out again and see silver in the hole.

Congrats on your finds, love the Walker and the bowling buckle! :hello2:

When I first saw this piece from a distance I thought... 'trade silver brooch'? :icon_scratch:

But then I realized that it's most likely be made of iron or brass.
Dave
Thanks Dave. Man, you’ve been on Tnet a long time too. I remember you. 👍
Yeah, was so happy to find silver again on my first time out. The dime I dug at an 1840’s house, and the Walker was me last signal before I quit at an early 1900’s house. Hoping to go back there next time up yo Indiana. Lots of ground to cover on that one.
Still trying for the elusive Barber quarter. For some reason, they avoid me. 🤔

Nice finds. Just like riding a bike...It all comes back right away!
Yes it did. I must admit it took me a bit to remember how to adjust the Vaquero. Thanks Terry Soloman for your you tube video. 👍

Thank you. It has "1963" on it which is the same year as my Mercury Comet.

Nice Comet! I had a 1963 Ford Falcon. Wish I still had it! My sister totaled it on I-83. :crybaby2:
These old cars are better than a 401k anymore. I totaled my dad's 64 Studebaker as a teen too. Young dumb kid.
