It's the Kwik-on-an-off!

Got out today with the Safari around the old barn across from my road. I'm really starting to get the hang of the tones this detector puts out. I can even now hunt in all metal mode comfortably and pick out good signals from the crazy ones. Still haven't got over any silver, but I did manage one half of one of those cheap "Best Friends" charms, you know, the kind where one side says "Best" and the other says "Friends." Even got the small chain to go with it.

Anyhoo, I came across this neat item today. It's a Schrader Universal Kwik-on-an-off dust cap, patent dates 1918 & 1919. I can barely read the engraving on it with my magnifying glass, but I found an old ad dated 1920 to help explain its function.

Any of you ever come across one of these?

Ray
