" JOHNNY REB WAS HERE"

Well I got out in the heat today and hunted on my Great Grandparents old farm, someone else owns it now but he gladely gave me permision. I found some camp lead and a few dropped muskett balls, and a nice dropped minnie ball, and a marble. There was also a brass thing with desighns on it, don't know what it is. If anyone knows let me know. I will definetly be going back.

strickly just a guess, but maybe the brass thing is part of a decorative plate that was attached to some black powder guns. Cool finds.

That is a nice little collection, I hope with more time there you can add to it.

I was thinking that, it seems to have a piece missing off one end, which would have held the other countersunk hole.

Nice finds. The brass piece looks like a piece of a trigger guard that has been broken.
