It's been a while since I've used a detector. What are everyone's thoughts on buying used vs new. Tips for buying used, such as what to lookout for? Looking at Craigslist and pawnshops.
Also, if I buy new should I go Garret's or White's? I want something in the $500 range (possibly cheaper) that will last me a while but also find a lot.
I was thinking of getting a Garrett AT Pro.

Thanks in advance!
