June Hunt

Hello TN diggers , 90's here in the Jersey pines , :icon_sunny: :P Most of the wood sites are like jungles . I am back at the early American home stead site where I have been in the settlers kitchen and there are more utensils from way back layered in debris of brick and iron junk . I am glad to see a lot of members are enjoying success at TH ing . Memorial Day weekend is over already :o time seems to be flying by very quickly , within a short time was back into some more old relics . No Earth shattering discoveries but a continuation of house hold kitchen utensils and related finds :icon_scratch: more spoons , pieces of pewter and one silver handled spoon or fork handle ... fancy engraving , some more buttons , two nice dandy buttons " found similar ones of this style " and some flat buttons , whirligig ... id by Timekiller , a door hinge , pot hooks , china shards etc. :) O yeh !!! One cool big ol' friendly black snake . ::) The snake took one look at me and hit the road !! :tongue3: The picture below is that of a mute swan about 35 lbs with a wing span almost 3 m (10 ft . Thanks for stopping in to see them 8) 8) Dawg :sunny: :occasion14:

I would dig out every square inch of that site! Those are some nice 18th century household relics your finding and there is no telling what might come out of a spot like that. Might even be a good place to bring a sifter into.

Thanks dwayne , this snake has eaten many harmful insects and rodents ...it's a shame so many of these bug eaters get taken out

Lots of goodies left at that site. Same situation with most of the sites I wanted to hit, overgrown. Nice finds.... Arty

Re: June Hunt

Some really nice finds there Dawg and great indicators of what to expect on future hunts there. It may not be like the Mill but that site looks very promising for the Fall. HH, Quindy.
