OK went out for about 3 1/2 hours today and hunted the old cw hospital field again, everytime we go it produces more and more buttons, so far we have pulled over 100 buttons from this field. Got out today and within the 1st 15 minutes of being there got a nice flat button,then another good signal produced the 2nd of the day.
Maybe 30 minutes later I pulled what I am guessing to be a saddle broach
I am not 100% on that but that is what it remids me of.I started working an area of the field that we haven't really hit hard yet and got a good signal thought it was gonna be trash but dug it anyway, turned out to be a very green no date buffalo nickel 
Got another good signal in the same hole but DEEEEP so I started to dig.
Well 2 hours into digging this hole my I was getting signals everywhere out popped 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 and so and so on button after button after button
. Then got an old spoon and alot of pottery in which I need some help with it says ( ? & sons BURSLEM) any idea on the date of this 
My first thought was OMG I have found a trash pit then started to find charred wood,o.k. maybe a fire pit but all the buttons had shanks and no burn spots?? Has to be a hut right I was in a 6 foot wide by 7 foot long by 5 foot deep hole b4 I ever hit hard ground.
So for all that work ended up with 13 button that a hell of va day if you me.
Any help on the pottery or the buttons would be much appreciated one of them says just "GILT" I have seen double gilted but never just the word GILT and one has some lettering I cant read? And this is all I found absolutely NO TRASH I was freakin awesome
