I always ask the girl at the register no matter where I'm at... Got lucky this time.. She wanted just a dollar.. I replaced the dollar for her drawer and gave her five so she would save me more when she notices silver... That's one awesome 5 minute trip to the convenient store.

I don't understand, sorry if this is a dumb question. It says it's $1, but if it's an ounce, that's worth like about $17, right? Was silver in 1997 worth $1 per ounce or something?
