Spent about 3 hours today at the field where I found the gold ring yesterday. At least I'm becoming an expert grass hunter...good practice. Cleaned up the park, above and below ground. 20 keepers and about 30 tabs/slaw. Would have stayed, but left when a billion kids came running out of a nearby school and took over the field.

I was hunting gold and silver jewelry, so there aren't many pennies and no dimes...

Lucky you, I'd enjoy a clad hunt about now, LOL! The soil is tough on the coins. HH, Mike

Congrats on your finds Beep!

;)

Mike -> Yeah, the zincolns come out pretty rough. I wouldn't dig them, but when they get corroded their VDI drops into the gold range (from around 60 down to 51 and below)...looks like a ring with good tone audio with a hint of scratchiness.

I guess it's better than nothin Beep...glad you got out anyway...HH!!

Good going Beep, pretty much the same for me today......a little over a buck in clad. Some days are good and others are just clad...... ;D......HH...gregd573
