Just found these from a hunt about a month ago. Woooohooo....

Had a great hunt a while back and thought I had lost them. Just found them stuck in the corner of my detector case today as I prepared to go hunt the beach this morning.. I'm so happy I didn't lose them. I really thought that I had. I know they are not much, but it was still a great hunt!.

Broken Horse Shoe
A piece of cannister shot
Cannon Ball Frag
1 fired three ringer
A piece of camp lead or something. Its definitely lead, but fairly small.

All found around south Richmond.

Not much luck on the beach though.

It is always a great time finding these treasures. The history behind them always humbles me. Each fired bullet I wonder who it hit or what damage it caused. I enjoy the research involved prior to each hunt as well. As in finding maps etc... and learning the topography of the areas as well as the folks that live there now. I have been blessed with some of the folks that are the land owners that let us go out there to hunt their land. Most have already found incredible amounts of relics already and yet still let us go out and do our thing. Good stuff. Even a bad day of detecting beats a good day at work Thanks for the interest in this topic. I hope everyone south of us is doing ok with the storm. We dodged a bullet here in eastern VA.
