Went back to the schoolyard I mentioned last week. It's still a very nice place to take my detector for a walk. I only had a short time last week but somehow I just knew this would be a fun place to hunt. The variety I got today didn't come as much of a surprise. I really enjoyed myself.

Here's the lump total:

The big lump of metal might be just that, a lump of metal. It's not magnetic, fairly heavy and kind of shiny metal inside, (see the grooves I cut). :dontknow:

This was a pleasant, surprising little pretty. It was a bit deeper than I would've figured for something modern.

Also, it showed itself as you see it in the picture above. But when I moved it, this revealed.

They seemed so delicate, I was surprised they held up so well.

Anyway, here they all are after a bit of cleaning up.

Butterflies clean up nice, don't they.

The little piece at the bottom is part of what used to be on the back.

A roached, plated ring.

A touch of silver to round out the day is always nice.

Hope you enjoyed the trip.

Thanks for peeking!

The butterflies are beautiful. Enameled? What are they from?

Enameled? Yeah, I guess. They are sort of done like stained glass windows. Sorry my pics aren't showing too well. Would a different angle help?

But, yeah, beautiful! That's what I thought too.

Thanks!

Well, this was the best I could clean up the butterflies. I couldn't find even as much as a jeweler's mark. :dontknow:

Here's a couple more pics. Anyone ever see the like?

The back appears to be brass. Maybe gold plated?

Thanks!
