BAM....right there in the middle of the woods is a classic treasure. I was trying to find a friends lost high school ring from 25yrs ago and instead I find a lost car.
Nice find, charlene...if the glass is intact you may have found one of the more valuable pieces so far....glass from those old packards can be worth a lot....goat
during that time the cents were wheaties -the dimes and quarters and halves were 90% silver * look fer lost change in the glove box-- ash tray -- in the seat cracks and underfloor mats once you get the land / car owners ok for it --of course.
I was elk hunting in the mountains of Colorado once. I would have sworn no white man had ever been in this particular area. I sat down to take a rest and saw something shiney a little ways off. It was a beer can! Now who in the world would carry a can of beer out into virgin territory? And I also have found old cars and wonder how in the world they got there as there are no roads visible for miles. Monty
moonshiners -- in the old days they made shine in the deep woods (far from people to keep from being detected -- making shine stunk to high heaven --"sour mash" is called that fer a reason) --those cars are for hauling it from "production site" to delivery point.
today the "shiners" have switched to growing pot instead and use ATV's to go into the deep woods where they got their hidden plots at. (be very careful -- they often booby trap the areas they got their plots at to stop theives , and are quite "unfreindly" to strangers in "thier" areas.)
