Tree is probably a Honey Locust...a riparian tree...

I had one of those spines in my upper thigh until it worked itself to the surface a few years ago...nasty buggers

Yeah, honey locust. Nature's way of saying don't touch. There's lots in Oklahoma. The thorns will go clear through your boot and out the top. Great pics!

Love the river pics what river is that ? I think it would be cool to see those buzzards like that!

And the kids ferret is cool looking so what did they name it? :icon_sunny:

That tree is wicked! We have Locus but they don't have thorns that nasty. :o Be careful!

I love the ferret. We had one many years ago, don't leave the jewelery laying around or anything else shiny for that matter. Adorable, I wanna know it's name too.

That is the Mississippi River. They named the ferret Smokey. They have a plan all laid out to talk me into getting a second one that they will name Bandit. Smokey and The Bandit. I think they will have to be happy with one.

Yeah, we learned not to leave certain things laying around pretty quick. As far as jewelery goes, I was laying on the couch the other day and my daughter put the ferret on with me. I wasn't paying much attention to him until he noticed my earring. He went for it but got mostly ear. My kids thought it was very funny, me not so much.

There were three of those trees within about six feet of each other, otherwise I've never seen them in the woods before.
