Yes from time to time. The most common types found are usually Edward 1 pennies.

Hello Shaun it's got a suspension loop, probably small pendant, or poss a spoon that would have been worn around the neck, perhaps for salt which was really expensive in those times.

think it is Crusader, or poss hawking bell.
