Found this little keeper along a strip of old road where prep was being done for a sidewalk. A lot of top soil had been removed so I figured anything there would be covered soon. It was apparent that someone else had beaten me to it but I gave it a shot anyways. The spearhead design looks like a smokehouse lock type but I find it odd that it only says PATENT and not a VR (Queen Victoria) 1837-1902. Not sure if this is of the same time frame or not but cool nonetheless.

Any find is a good find, (almost) that looks pretty cool I love history. Im bored 60 degrees 8 inches of snow on the ground. Thanks for the post I dont think anywhere is totally hunted out Ive been to places where people have beat me to and still found some good stuff. Good Job!!!!
