How does the fluidization happen? Looks like a self classifying sluice.

first off at the end where material exits there is wall higher than the riffles, and the copper pipe has holes drilled in it so water comes in from the end and causes fluidization in the chambers

that's what i was thinking. kind of an interesting setup though. trial and error i suppose. where did you test it out at?

just at a creek near my home, its kind of like running a mini highbanker. I throw material on it, scrub it around to clean off any clay, and use my shovel to clear off any bigger rocks

and in my cons im finding flakes that I need a a magnifying glass to see, so its working

Ohhhh. So it's like a sluice that has a fluid trap at the very end? That's a cool design!

Hey, that last little wooden sluice you built, was it just flat riffles? no angle to them? im curious how well that works? im looking at building a sluice to a specific size for the stream im working.

Sorry to hear that Kiddo...next time stay away from that nasty stuff!

Never had it myself, but have run into Devil's Club enough times to
know it can't always be avoided. Fortunately, with devil's Club the
plant that bits ya also holds the cure for the stinging.

FtF....you ought to know better..lol Glad ya got over it!

I've never had it before , so I thought I was immune, because of that I was never aware of any plants I was touching,
so essentially I've gotten lucky up till this point

My body is extremely allergic to poison ivy. It's like I just look at it and break out. I usually have to get steroid shots at the urgent care to get rid of it...
