It's not quite the find of the year but I think it's kinda neat. My nephew found this ring a few weeks ago using my detector in my mothers yard. It's just a cheapie little kids ring. (I don't remember losing one 45 years ago!) It looks like it could have come from a box of Cracker Jacks. Has anyone ever seen one of these? How old do you think it is? Thanks for looking! bg

That is a cool little ring! It looks like 1940's or 1950's style to me.

Looks like Chicago Cubs, probably lost a couple days after they won their last world series; around 1908!!! ha ha

chicago cubs ring for a kid most likely a giveaway item or fan club gift

Neat find! :icon_thumright:

It's from a 1957 baseball premium ring series issued by Kellogg's. The rings— 16 different— came singly in boxes of their shredded wheat cereal. The most recent edition of Overstreet's toy ring price guide values them at $10-25 apiece.

Thanks for the responses. There is always something interesting to dig up everytime I go out! Just wish I could find some gold! Ha! Happy hunting! bg

Cool find!. I like kids stuff like that...and it actually has a bit of collector value!

; :icon_thumright: Cool ring. I've never seen one before; 'course, we south-siders are Sox fans, so who's looking? Nice find!

Nice ring. I found a cubscout ring last year.
