I have been burned on some fake stuff lately and started bringing a magnet with me. Today I found a home run! This is an 8 mm wide sterling St. Croix Hook bracelet with 14k gold wire accent from Sonya Ltd. It weighs 23 grams.

Retail is $240 and I paid $10. Finally another megascroe!

If you don't mind me asking what made you buy it, I do not see a 10-24k mark on it, is Sonya a name you knew to look for? I just ask because I am just getting into learning to spot gold and silver thanks.

I saw the mark "SONYA STER" and searched ebay sold listings and saw one similiar sell for $140. That was enough for me to grab it, hold onto it for 10 minutes, then read the listing showing the 14k gold wire. Then I bought it. When I got home I google the "SONYA St. Croix and found her website. Whenever I see a makers mark I will grab an item and hold it so I can search the sold listings. If it isn't profitable I give it back or you can tell them you will buy it and they can hold it while you look around. That can give you time to search and tell them you changed your mind if you don't want it. Worst mistake I made is putting something back on the floor, because there is always someone looking over your shoulder in the TS.
