Its been awhile since I've posted on here but I felt this was a good hunt, after receiving permission to
hunt a new site that I came across on my 1872 plate book it did'nt take long to locate the site there was pottery
and stone laying everywhere but very little glass I knew this would be and old site. The first coin was a 1876 cc
dime and then a silver disk that I believe to be a reale also recovered 2 1874 and 1 1866 indianhead pennys
the King George a G.Washington gaming token a shield nickle (no date) 18 flat buttons, and my heel plate
for the year. This was my first hunt on this site and my plate is showing 2 house sites in this field. I can't
wait to hit it again and work it at a slower pace! Could someone help me identify the coin that I believe
to be a King George ?
Thanks

Well congrats on your KGIII Irish Halfpenny, most likely 1805 Irish Halfpenny, known as a SOHO copper. See this link, near the bottom of the page it will explain about your coin. Irish Milled Coinage (1680 - 1823)

I straighten your reverse photo out which puts the crown area at the top to see remains of the Irish Harp.
