Was digging a spot I’ve been doing and was shocked to find this on my second hole I’ve been finding a lot of flat buttons in this one small area and also a larger buckle I posted recently. If anyone knows how old it may be please let me know want to know if it’s early/mid/late 1700s or 1800s this area was owned since. Early 1700s it was purchased in 1790 by a guy who started a champion trotting horse farm unknown if my spot was part of it but very close to it I believe he lived a little more north . This area had some early settlers as I’m finding lots of pottery/glass/nails/clam shells buried/ buttons/buckles and a few so far unreadable large cents or coppers and also musketballs .thank you

that glass is a cool piece and still intact museum stuff awesome the buckle and buttons are cool also.I wish my town went back farther than 1817. Looks like you could find almost anything there . Great post Tommy

Great finds you are on some awesome hunting ground. I would say at a quick look that is 1700's one thing you can do is look at the areas where the pin went I believe those are called terminals and those can possibly help date it.
