Find out what works for you, with or without baiting. See this video for baiting.

Hello Arti -- to answer your question about ''phosphor'' -- you speak of meditating, visualizing, etc. on the coins you find. If that works for you, fine. The ''phosphor'' should not give you any problems unless you allow that to slip into your thoughts while hunting.
NOW, whether phosphor can or cannot be picked up by the rods may require a long process of trials and error.
Maybe this will help your question if I understand you correctly.:coffee2::coffee2: VERY good question. Thanks.

I haven used wooden rods. They will work but are not very good. Any kind of metal is better even coat hangers. Put some kind of container on your rods that will hold the bait….Art

This my tools

I saw video and noticed slow response with the rods . I would make the handles copper tubing and for the witness chamber a cheap plastic vial . This what use!

I have found that the bait has to be less than a 1/8 inch from the rods to work properly for me. Keep it simple….Art
