Nice finds! Congrats!
Nice scenic pics.
Out harvesting the wheat are we?
Your rusted quarter seems to have a Bob Hope profile facing right.

Hope you had milder weather. Starting to cool off here in VA. The old door knob makes me think there are still some old goodies out there to be found! Thanks for sharing.

Very nice,, sometimes it just takes one or two finds to
make the hunt fun. You got a wheat penny and a chunk of brass. (The doorknob?)
Congrats

With clouds like that, it's a wonder you found your way home! ;)

As much as that place has been hit and still it produces! Fascinating!

I'd like to help with the harvest some day.

sad or good thing . Depending on your Needs
The Clouds Burn off Pretty Quickly.
I hit the Valley by 9 AM & the Clouds are Burned off within 20 Minutes.

Whenever you get the time to stop by let me know.
Hopefully Timing works out better then the Last 2 .
As far as Conditions, Weekdays Monday Thru Thursday
are Best. less chance of Park Renters having Dibs
Except when The Children of the Corn have their Religious Meetings.
Which I think are Wednesday mornings in the early summer .

Of course a warm Winter or Spring day would be Best also.
Things are Growing. & The last 2 I hunted with there didn't like the poison.
Don't know your opinion on Poison & High Ferns that can hide
all kinds of things & Stall the Coil Swing

It won't be real soon but I'll be thinking about it. I'm afraid I've grown more cautious, (lazy), in my old age. I just don't want to go for one of my "walks" and have to feel like I'm "fighting" for the privilege. Nor, do I look forward to having to recover from poisons for up to a month and a half, just to find a fried clad quarter. :tongue3:

Don't fret though, I'll find me a rather flat area to stumble around in wherever we go. ;)

I'm sure there will be a Few Quarters in the Open areas :laughing7:

"fighting" for the privilege." to walk ? I never quite Heard it put that way,
But I think I know what you Mean. Some days it just seems like a Chore :tongue3:

The Poison seems to be the biggest Problem.
I believe all My hunting Buddies get it.

only Place I ever got it was between my Fingers where they meet my hand.
and I believe that was from ripping it out of the Ground, And digging all with bare hands. I never paid close attention to Poison So I don't normally recognize it .
I never wear Gloves. I like to feel the Metal as I pull it out. And won't give that up for
piece of Mind. :tongue3:

Well, if one is constantly tripping or stumbling and the coil is bouncing off weeds etc, getting hung up. That is just too much like work.
Not why I'm out there.

The poison? I tend to wear long sleeves, even in the heat. Always wear gloves. It's saved me countless times from having some severe cuts. I'd rather not have to sit out for a month while an infection clears up. The feel of the metal? I'd prefer to "feel" it then have to go to the E.R. to have it pulled out. There's being safe and being safe. I err on the side that's kept me healthy. Just me. :dontknow:

I'll just say that it isn't stubbornness, for there is absolutely nobody, (who knows me), that wouldn't tell you about my own. I'll let you figure what it is then, in your case. :angel2:

No brag, just fact. ;)

And, the ONLY thing that IS constant in this world, is "change".
You just did! You said you learned from the happenings and that you're
"Not gonna brag no More". ;)
