:o Fjudd: You've got a real Keeper there!! Looks like F Detail, but Dug Condition! Only 222,867 Minted !

Check out Patience-such-a-virtue's LC in "Today's Finds". A similar Coin!

Well apparently my house was built in 1852, and housed a Governor, and several mayors; Cant find that at city hall, 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms servant quarters and all that good stuff. Any way they tell me it is the oldest house in the town built on Historic National road in Ohio. US40 That is the Hi way that connects DC and and California, This section was built between 1806 and 1820 depending on where you look. I was talking to some of the people here in town and they said there was a dump that was covered up in the late 1890's in the back. I guess thats next.

I'm in western Ohio, but I can dig dumps in Eastern Ohio too!! ;D Sounds like my kind of place. I live in a 1920 neighborhood where your neighbors house is 3 or 4 feet away and the only dump out back would be the rental property on the corner ::).

Nice find.Large cents 1808-1814 were made with a softer metal and wore down quicker.Your high-grade coin wasn't in circulation long.

Nice find....pays to leave your detector on as you leave an area...I never shut mine off and keep swinging it until I get back to my truck, for you never know....:)
