I was walking a dry creek today and this big rock stood out. It was squared and all the other rocks were jagged. Not even any rounded rocks around. It was a couple of inches in the mud, so I dug it out. I toted it 1/2 mile back to the truck, so I am hoping this will be an artifact and not just a new addition to my rock garden. Expert help would be very much appreciated. I also have what I think is a tool that I will post in a seperate post. Thank you in advance.

Yessir, That's the kind of rock I always pick up and bring home simply 'cause it's neat. The Warden thinks I'm just replenishing the ones I've lost thru the years, but what does she know !! If you were in a camp area where people would stay a while, it may have been used as a nutting platform. It may just be a chipmunk podium, but I would have dragged it home too. Thanks for showing.
