Well, unfortunately I had a feeling this was going to happen. The farmer that I had dealt with and become friends with died a few weeks back. I had spoken with his grandson and he had assured me everything was still okay and I could still hunt everything so I continued to go down. Last Thursday I decided to finally hunt the spot behind the house that I had saved for last. It is the spot where all the Hoes come from and lots of nice Points too. I took about 10 steps into the field and a I hear "Beep Beep". I turn and see the farmers wife and she tells me they area leasing the land and the new guy doesn't want any hunting after it's planted. Her husband always let me hunt it after he planted and the crops were up so you could see the rows. I was really disappointed but I know I can get in this fall after harvest and it has set all year with no one on it.

Anyway, enough Eyoring, this what I found at another spot right down the road last Thursday. Here's a few in situs of the Points, a broken Drill, and some Pitted Stones I found. There's also a few cleaned up pics of the days finds, a picture of all three Pitted Stones together, and some really nice material. That striped piece looks like agate. Two of the Pitted Stones, the smaller ones, have pits on both sides.

Looks like you did quite well on your hunt. :icon_thumleft: Too bad that awl is broken. Nice Finds!

Thats a shame on your honey hole but like you said the fall isnt long away. I got rules on every single piece of property I have permission to hunt and each property is a different rule to follow. Follow all rules and you are sure to have properties to hunt for years to come. Just cause you dont see the property owner doesnt mean he or she doesnt have somebody watching you to be sure you follow all of the rules. Nice haul

Diffidently on them Steve. Some nice ones in the bunch. Hate that drills broke.

Not bad for one day's work. Cool finds and nice material. I'm sure your other spot will be great...
