Over the last three days I have searched $1k+ in halves, $12.50 in pennies, and a box of quarters; over 5000 coins total. The halves came from over 25 banks and two road trips (90+ miles in driving) and gave me a '64 and 5 40%'s. This was my first 90% half in months. I found four wheats in those penny rolls, the oldest is a '17. And the box of quarters had 14 Bicentennials and my first Guam-P quarter, yet no silver(big surprise).
All of us have either read about finding or have actually found proof/silver Bicentennial halves in boxes and/or circulation, but has anyone ever found a proof/silver Bicentennial quarter? Based on the number of halves of this type we pull out, they must be out there, but I can't remember reading about one.
