I have not been finding as much as I would like lately, but it isn't from lack of trying!

Here is all I have gotten in the last two weekends:

- 1941 Mercury dime.
- 8 Wheaties.
- No date Buffalo.
- A couple of parking tokens.

YTD silver coins: 9

The finds have been slim, but the real indignity of the weekend was going hunting with TNetter KurtStuben, on the maiden voyage of his Deus. Unfortunately, for me, He started off with a bang! He ended up scoring a Great Seal button, some wheaties and a silver quarter! I won't soon forget that spanking...

Thanks for looking, and best of luck on your hunts!

Love those Mercurys
Just remember, , a parking token is better than a parking ticket.
Congrats on a nice hunt

Nice haul, Tom, Out here in the sticks we "don't need no stinkin' parking tokens," we just park our 4WD pickups right where we stop after sliding on the ice! Sub8-)

Nice finds Tom.
I know the feeling. Seems like the good/great stuff comes in waves.
Sometimes we gota be patient and take what we can get.
Its just a matter of time and something will give.

Thanks Vince.

I only use one detector... XP Deus.

It is winter time here now, so it is cooler and wetter. During the summer it is hot and dry, and the ground is hard as a rock. I like the cool days and wet soil much better.

Best of luck to you paisano!

Tom, surely you've had worse hunts? I know I have. We are supposed to get a little snow tonight, tomorrow and again this week with the coldest temps of the winter over the weekend.

Oh, I dunno. From what I see there, you won't be needing the WIF correspondence course in finding stuff where there isn't any. ;)

Keep at it!

Heck I'd be happy with those finds! My year to date silver coins= zero.

I had the day off today, I wound up in the garage playing with my Deus programs. I was experimenting with my fav full tones program (super deep), and even created another program that should be hot on shallower tiny hammered in trashy areas. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I'm going to have to work my butt off to catch up to you guys once spring arrives.

Looks like a great hunt to me friend. I'm not on the board this year for found silver and you've almost hit double digits. :occasion14:

I did win a silver quarter at last months metal detecting club meeting, does that count for being on the board?
